Ga-z68ap-d3 USB problem
As you said though for a couple of quid it’s worth trying anyway. Have tried all usb2 and usb3 ports all give the same result. Only cost a couple of quid! I rebuilt my old system today and when I tried gigabyts USB drive on this sysem it also failed.

Please do let us know the outcome though. Is the problem that the motherboard isn’t seeing gaa-z68ap-d3 drive on bootup or is it not finding it during a Windows session as well? Might be worth checking.

December 06, I wouldn’t be surprised at that actually Allan as when they first came on the market we had quite a few failures on the forum here and nearly all were down to failing drives. Just completed my testing with a friends WD usb drive and it is working OK on my system.

Thanks for your help with this Dark Mantis on December 05, I have now come to the conclusion that my USB drive is broken! Try it and come back here for comments. So I got out my trusty multimeter.
